| Research Experience: | Monitoring harmful algal blooms using autonomous sampling platforms |
| Research Objectives: | As part of the Monitoring and Event Response of Harmful Algal Blooms (MERHAB) program, the goal of this project is to develop and determine the utility of a networked system of autonomous sampling platforms. The instruments incorporate physical/chemical- and bio-sensors that can be used to monitor blooms of the red-tide dinoflagellate, Karenia brevis, in the Florida coastal waters of the eastern Gulf of Mexico. |
