Research Experience: Late-summer Ecosystems Monitoring (ECOMON) survey of the Northeast shelf ecosystem - Project Web Site
Research Objectives: The ecosystems monitoring surveys assess changing biological and physical properties that influence the sustainable productivity of the living marine resources of the Gulf of Maine, Mid-Atlantic Bight, and Southern New England waters. Data collected during these surveys include zooplankton abundance, distribution and biomass estimates, time series of zooplankton abundances, and baseline indices for zooplankton and hydrography in the northeastern US continental shelf ecosystem.
Research funded by: NOAA Fisheries
Host Researchers: Jerry Prezioso and Carolyn Griswold - NOAA Fisheries Narragansett Laboratory
