Research Experience: | St. Elias Erosion/Tectonics Project (STEEP) |
Research Objectives: | To study the evolution of the St. Elias Mountains, the highest coastal range on Earth and also the highest range in North America. The plan is to develop a geodynamic model of the interaction between erosion and tectonics in the St. Elias via an interdisciplinary approach. |
Research funded by: | National Science Foundation |
Host Researchers: | Terry Pavlis (UTEP), Ron Bruhn (Univ of Utah), Ian Shennan (Durham U, U.K.), and Peter Haeussler (USGS) |
