13 September, 2001Off I Go! This morning I was given the opportunity to live and work on the Polarstern. I immediately packed by bag and am currently waiting to fly by German helicopter to the icebreaker. I will have no access to my e-mail and no ability to send journals while I am away from the Healy. Watch for journals to be posted for each day of my absence upon my return-- most likely 2 or 3 days from today.
