1. Interaction

Field Experience

Dates in the Field: Proposed: Nov. 18, 2002-Jan 25, 2003

Continued Collaboration with Research Team Members

Type of Interaction / Outcomes / Dates / Locations / Parcticipants: I worked for six weeks as a paid intern with my research team in Cleveland, OH.

I gained in-depth knowledge of the research they do with meteorites and was able to plan for my field season in Antarctica.

Oct. 12-20, 2002
Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC, Johnson Space Center, Houston TX
I visited other members of my field team and saw how they curated and identified meteorites.
I got to see the path that meteorites take once they leave the field and how they are stored for future research.
