Continued Collaboration with Research Team Members

Type of Interaction / Outcomes / Dates / Locations / Parcticipants: PI visited my school June 6 and 7, 2002. Did several presentations in the high school and the middle school. Had a luncheon reception with Central Administration, teachers and students.

Plan to continue working with them to develop several activites regarding our project.

How are you sharing your research experience with your colleagues, district, community, etc? Presentations: 1. Turtlehook Middle School - January 2002- presented to 6th grade students. showed pictures and used ECW gear. 2. Walnut elementary School - January 2002- Presented to 3rd grade classes. showed pictures and used ECW gear 3. Smith Street Elementary School- Kindergarten and first grade students. pictures and ECW gear. 4. Presented to all my classes. Outlined the project, showed pictues. 5. Columbia University- Summer Research program for Science TEachers. Guest Speaker for annual Alumi Dinner-March 21, 2002. Did powerpoint presentation of project, my experiences in Antarctic, and the TEA program. 6. Second Baptist Church - Youth Program. March 2002 Did presentation of my Antarctic Experience. Used ECW gear.
