Field Experience

Were you in the field this season? Yes

Dates in the Field: Dec.27, 2002-Feb. 9, 2003

Approximate Number of Student E-mails: When in field 75; total this year 300.

Approximate Number of Teacher E-mails: When in field 40; total this year 60

Apporximate Number of Other E-mails: Between my three e-mail addresses, approximately 400

Approximate Countries Represented: Three: USA, Hong Kong, & UK

Additional Comments: I had a fantastic experience. Excellent teamwork! The PI was very flexible in providing time for me to respond to email and to post journals. Just getting to a camp with power and internet access often required a 45-60 minute hike one way. The PI was very generous with the time I was given to stay in contact with my school and others.

Did you maintain a daily (or as often as possible) electronic journal while in the field? Yes

Is your journal complete? Yes
