Additional Comments: I was thrilled to be invited back to Alaska to work in the field again. This time my work was more focussed on transfer activities.

* returned to the field with Marge Porter to work with Dr. Jeffries' ALISON project, presented my TEA mentoring experience and future plans to Dr. Jeffries' snow and ice course for teachers, worked with 4th graders on their Snow Day and homeschool students on Aurora pond with their data collection on lake ice

*Attended and presented my activity at the TEA Regional workshop at Poulsbo in October with about 8 other people

We've had two superintendents in the last year. I met with both of them personally to discuss my work with TEA. Our interim superintendent, Dr. John Davis was previously familiar with the TEA program from former schools he's worked with. Our current newly-hired superintendent, Todd Reeves is fully committed to my work with TEA.

Title: Snow Density

Description:
Students experiment and compare densities of snow polymer and ice cubes.

Title: Antarctica Expedition

Description:
Students research Antarctica climates and living conditions, and present their 10-day journey. This is a great way to address misconceptions.

Description:
Students compare temperatures in a walk-in freezer with their selected form of insulation (blanket/sleeping bag).
