How are you sharing your research experience with students?
I have been trying to do a variety of activities to introduce them to the arctic and my research. We have visited the TEA website and read teacher's journals, I've had about a dozen students email TEA's, and we are beginning a project of choosing one TEA to learn about the science behind the research and the environment they were in. I am also having one class make a web site regarding polar regions, which will cover the geography, climate, plants, animals, and culture, and hopefully more! I will especially guide them toward the King Eider and Tundra swan, which I will be focused on during my research in the summer.
