How are you sharing your research experience with your colleagues, district, community, etc?
I'm afraid that there is little to report. I recruited my collaborative (mentor) group via a district-wide e-mail and a few phone calls.
Half of my group (ie. 3 science teachers) attended the NSTA Science Teachers' Conference in Portland, OR, in mid-November. The long 10 hour drive each way provided much needed collegiality and brain-storming about the arctic and possiblities for future activities.
We had one informal introductory meeting about TEA during the first week of December.

6. Anticipated TEA Involvement (01/2003 to 01/2004)
I'll conduct ocenographic and climate change research on an icebreaker this summer.
I'll meet regularly with my collaborative group before I depart for the arctic and upon return.
I'll promote TEA via the media and presentations to community and professional groups.
