How are you sharing your research experience with your colleagues, district, community, etc? I'm afraid that there is little to report. I recruited my collaborative (mentor) group via a district-wide e-mail and a few phone calls. Half of my group (ie. 3 science teachers) attended the NSTA Science Teachers' Conference in Portland, OR, in mid-November. The long 10 hour drive each way provided much needed collegiality and brain-storming about the arctic and possiblities for future activities. We had one informal introductory meeting about TEA during the first week of December.

I'll conduct ocenographic and climate change research on an icebreaker this summer.

I'll meet regularly with my collaborative group before I depart for the arctic and upon return.

I'll promote TEA via the media and presentations to community and professional groups.
