Continued Collaboration with Reasearch Team Members

Date: on going communication with Kelly Falkner

Location: Corvallis, Oregon

Type of Interaction: phone conversations, e-mails, and meetings
Kelly has been a great resource to help me process the research experience and the field experience on the Healy. She has been able to clarify procedures and work from the cruise as well as share the perspective that others had of our role as teachers while on the Healy.

ongoing communication with Janice Rosenberg

We discuss our journals and possible revisions needed in them; share experiences that we are having with presentations; work together on producing powerpoint presentations; and discuss the activities that we are doing with children related to our Arctic experience.

Yes

2. Community / Colleague Outreach

Classroom Transfer

How are you sharing your research experience with students? I have shown students powerpoint presentations detailing our Healy experience. These presentations vary depending on the grade level and curriculum that each parcticular group is working on. When I present the powerpoints, I also take time to do a demonstration activity and suggest an activity for the class to do. Several classes have used the journal entries from the Internet to find answers to questions posed and to better understand activities linked to them.
