Additional Comments: Corresponded with approximately 90 students and 3 teachers while a S. Pole worker during austral winter.

Submitted journal entries while at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station for posting on the TEA website and mailing to my personal group distribution lists. (total of personal group lists: 331)

Classroom Transfer

How are you sharing your research experience with students? Presented to 6 classes in my building. Teachers and students are using the video and bound journals that I placed in the school library

Gave a 2-hour presentation to the North Penn Amateur Radio Club, Bucks county, Pennsylvania and guests of the club
Presented to the Amateur Radio Club of Orcas Island. (8 adults)

On-going distribution list of 32 teachers (including school libraries) and interested adults.

Presentations to approximately 690 students.

Presentations to approximately 70 community members.

School-wide library display (school population of 930, but do not know how many visited the display).

Associates Network

Type of Interaction: Held a TEA and TEA Associates BBQ and meeting in June at my home in order to network and carry forth plans for TEA and Associate activities for the new school year. (4 adults)

Presented to Associate Rolf Tremblay's classes, Gig Harbor, Washington in September. (78 students)

TEA mentor to Associate Valerie Sloane, Orcas Island, Washington. Spent one day in October with Valerie and her students prensenting on Antarctica and exploring the GLACIER website. (24 students)

Description:
Developed a teaching activity and submitted it to Stephanie Shipp for placement on the TEA classroom materials website

Description:
Consulted with a Social Studies teacher on planning a unit on Antarctica. Student projects were on display in the library with my video running continuously.

Promoted GLACIER to my school's staff of 58.
