Continued Collaboration with Research Team Members

Type of Interaction / Outcomes / Dates / Locations / Parcticipants: I colloborate on the ozone data that we collected while in the field. This is done through email with two reseachers, Jen Mercer and Terry Deshler from the University of Wyoming. This is a continuing interaction with various dates. The outcome is a complete understanding of the ozone data and how it relates to the other research teams across Antarctica which we were trying to match air samples with.

No

2. Community / Colleague Outreach

Transfer

How are you sharing your research experience with your colleagues, district, community, etc? I have held a two day workshop prior to leaving in which we shared ways to disseminate as much information as possible to the elementary schools. I had four elementary schools in my district follow my journey.

We held an Antarctica night at our Auditorium. We had a packed house of 300 people attend from the community and our school district. I was connected through real audio and there were two other Antarctic presenters, one a former TEA.

My mentors are presently doing research assignments related to Antarctica, including solar research, uv measurements and marine life adaptations.

I am currently scheduled for a public presentation to an outdoor group in our community.
