Continued Collaboration with Research Team Members
Type of Interaction / Outcomes / Dates / Locations / Parcticipants:
I was recently assigned to Dr. Joe McConnells research time from Desert Research Institute in Reno, Nevada. We are currently e-mailing back forth to decide when I should make my first to his research institution. We are also looking into what will be needed technologically to meet our goals through TEA.
Has a member of your research team visited your classroom in the last year?
No
2. Community / Colleague Outreach
Transfer
How are you sharing your research experience with your colleagues, district, community, etc?
First I have the fortunate opportunity to have a common scheduled time with our whole science department. During that time we can share any ideas and experiences which are currently taking place. Second, I have presented two different times; one during an inservice day and one after school hours. Both of theses were aimed towards teachers at the middle and elementary levels. I have another planned for the 20th of February as well as classroom visits prior to my departure. Lastly, I have recently sent out a press release to the local media that I have not forwarded onto TEA yet.
