1. Interaction

Field Experience

Continued Collaboration with Research Team Members

Type of Interaction / Outcomes / Dates / Locations / Parcticipants: Dr. Peter Michael, my P.I, came to my school for 2 days in March 2004. He did a presentation for the school on the first day. This involved a powerpoint presentation concerning our 2 month expedition. The press was there as well and Dr. Michael made the local TV news! The reporter approached me after Dr. Michael spoke and told me that he was such a fabulous speaker and that she was mesmirized by his presence. The second day Dr. Michael spent in my classroom and did a project with my 5 classes. He also shared the rocks that we collected on our expedition. He is a truly a great speaker, and the students were very inspired.
