How are you sharing your research experience with your colleagues, district, community, etc? In my earth science and chemistry classes, I have utilized Antarctica influenced activities that introduce students to cross sectional mapping of the Antarctic continent, profiling the Drake Passage utilizing salinity, temperature, and latitude and longitude data from the Polar Duke, thermal and energy changes as they relate to ice melting and formation, ozone studies, and general climate and weather data retrieved from the web.

I also have generated an activity, which I will be presenting in Boston at the NSTA convention that centers around the use of real world research projects such as those studied in Antarctica and how they can be modeled in the high school classroom.
