I HAVE PREPARED PRESENTATIONS FOR ALL CLASSES IN GRADES 2 - 5 IN MY DISTRICT, AND HAVE GIVEN HALF OF THE PRESENTATIONS THIS FALL. I HAVE ALSO CREATED ACTIVITIES SPECIFIC TO EACH GRADE LEVEL TO ACCOMPANY THE PRESENTATIONS. THE ACTIVITIES AND THE FOCUS OF THE PRESENTATION ARE LINKED TO EXISTING CURRICULA AT EACH GRADE LEVEL.

STUDENTS CREATE A SIMULATED OCEAN HABITAT IN WHICH TO RAISE LARVAL LOBSTERS. THEY TEST SALINITY AND TEMPERATURE DAILY, AND MONITOR WATER QUALITY FOR POLLUTANTS. THEY ALSO KEEP A JOURNAL DOCUMENTING THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR LOBSTERS OVER A THREE
