All students in my classes accessed the TEA site as a class assignment looking at the McMurdo Dry Valley material and journals from other teachers.

4. Other TEA Activity Involvement


Attendance at the Rice curriculum workshop.

Established collaboration with Peter Amati and Dr. Bery Lyons to train ASA personnel on how to collaborate with teachers. Wrote and submitted a suplemental grant application.

Collaborated with Kathy Welch and Dr. Berry Lyons, PI of the Antarctic LTER site, to write an educational outreach grant for the LTER McMurdo Dry Valley site. The plan is for a collaboration between a school in Tuscaloosa Alabama, Lakeside in Seattle and the McMurdo Dry VAlleys to share data on specified parameters of watershed ecology. Data will be made available from the dry valleys and from the two school sites on the web.
