During the last year (1999) I conducted three teacher workshops oriented at introducing Wisconsin teacher to the TEA program. Parcticipants in the workshop spent one day reviewing the TEA site as an example of how science oriented web sites are set up and maintained. They worked in groups to brainstorm ways to use this site and other sites of this type in their parcticular grade level classroom.

I have continued to present at the local level at the high school and elementary schools, this past year approximately 15 presentations. My students are currently doing research top look at the formation of glacial ice and are continuing to work to create a stable Linux network so that multibeam data from past Antarctic cruises can be analized on site.

I have attended the summer curriculum workshop, attended and copresented at the Museum of Natural History Conference on Earth science and at the Wisconsin Society of Science Teachers Conference this past spring.
