Field Experience

Continued Collaboration with Research Team Members

Type of Interaction / Outcomes / Dates / Locations / Parcticipants: I have continued to work at the lab with the Chief Scientist and her husband who is also a Chief Scientist.

I have continued contact with 2 other PI's that were involved in our project.

I have continued to collaborate with the PI's on upcoming activities. They have had me continue to be activie with the research they are conducting. I have been invited to parcticipate in upcoming trips with them.

How are you sharing your research experience with your colleagues, district, community, etc? Presentations to University of Tennessee Education Interns

I worked with Betty Carvellas to prepare her for her TEA experience. I spent three days aclimating her to the research that she would be doing in the field. I was responsible for all the communication between Betty and the PI.

Students have researched the animals and presented their reports to the class.

4. Other TEA Activity Involvement


I have partnered with Betty Carvellas and worked with her in the lab. I have also maintained email communication assisting her with questions. I have been the go between for the PI.

I will be working with an upcoming TEA in February doing the same types of activities.

I have monitored the Arctic resource trunk.

I presented a paper at the Oceans Sciences Meeting in Honolulu, HI in February.

My PI had a booth at the Ocean Sciences Meeting. I had materials and the TEA banner to promote the program.
