How are you sharing your research experience with your colleagues, district, community, etc? I developed a presentation to detail my journey and to relate the science taking place in Antarctica. Students were given an assignment to study data sets from Antarctica to look at trends, relationships and make predictions about the future.

Activities Development

Title: Antarctica . . . Ice, Ice, Baby

Description:
Teams of students will conduct background research on Antarctica to include ; Population and weather, government, geography and natural resources, history and exploration, wildlife and human adaptation. Students will ten pull data files from the LTER site. http://www.creso.ucsb.edu/lter/ Students will be assigned different data sets. They will use the data to determine trends, relationships and make predictions about the future. All information will then be presented in a powerpoint presentation.
