Today, we checked in at 6:00 am, dressed and boarded the plane by about 8:00 am. This flight, people seemed more hopeful- perhaps the day off helped everyone's outlook. The flight captain just announced that we're heading in for landing YIPPEE! We were welcomed to McMurdo with a short inbriefing, which introduce key people we might need as we settled in, got ouor room assignments, keys, etc... Dinner was next on the agenda, we eat in the "Galley" which is similar to a school cafeteria. There were several choices, and you can eat as much as you want- the desserts are especially good, unfortunately the baker is leaving soon. Some folks were extremely glad to see us land because they "wintered over" and were anxious to get back home.
