FRIDAY
6/19
Just another day of crunching ice and not much else. We are trying to get
to the 100-meter contour on the edge of Barrow Canyon and the progress is
steady but still slow. We stopped to do a ROV bottom only station and
found a rocky floor with sponges and tunicates. The ice would not allow us
to drag the trawl net but Will put the plankton net down for a couple quick
dips.
There was a General Emergency drill at 1330 and the beakers did OK but not
great. Two people were napping and did not hear the alarm. Not good!!!
