16 December, 2001
Its Sunday, and the storm continues. We started out in the morning at
condition 2. By the afternoon, we had been raised to condition 3.
There was also an Art show at the station today. Ms. Tonie Yaron, Art
Teacher at Uniondale High School had been using Antarctica as one of her
themes this year. We arranged for some of her student's work to be
displayed in the show. Thanks to Mr. Henry Chu, photos of the art work
were email to me. The student work was a HUGE SUCCESS! Many, many
compliments from everyone.
Many commmented on the tremendous talent obvious in the Artwork. It was a
very proud and positive event for me.
1. the art display
2. drawings, paintings, and cold weather fashions
3. artwork and ideas for Antarctic beverages
