22 March, 2000We are still steaming calmly through the Drake Passage. The following seas are helping to speed us on our way to Punto Arenos. Each evening we are treated to radiant sunsets and moon rises. Dr. Craig Smith and Dr. Dave DeMasters, the principle investigators are already making plans for their next research trip down here in June. They are including sampling at other sites farther South to validate their findings at FOODBANCS Sites A, B, and C.
