Gould-en Greetings!

Today we have a bit of time off before we set sail. Setting sail, of course is a hold-over from the days when ships moved solely by wind power. The L. M. Gould is strictly an engine powered

vessel. You might want to look up on the Internet about her so you can find out how much power she has.

The weather started out with drizzling rain early, but has cleared somewhat now. It is cool, but just light jacket temperatures (12 degrees C).

We have a meeting this afternoon to learn safety procedures and drills. I relate how the session went on trying on the dry suit tomorrow.

Need to go.

Regards,

Mrs. D
