Looking across to Big Diomede, Russia. Sunrise.
Full moon setting over Big Diomede. One of the joys of being up here, just below the Arctic Circle, is watching the moon set around 9 am and the sun rise an hour or so later. This is the view across the frozen Bering Sea, looking west across the International Date line to Big Diomede, Russia. Magnificent.
