IMPORTANT UPDATE! Social science research very much effects and involves real people and the details of their experiences and ways of life. For that reason, it is very important to make sure that the ways in which information is shared is accurate. That said, it has come to my attention that the way in which I tried to explain this language map and introduce some infromation regarding the Inupiaq language, had some key factual errors. It's very important to me that I not unintentionally misrepresent information that relates to my role in this research project, or the ways in which that experience is shared with others. So, I will be reposting this entry after reediting and verifying the details and historical information with my researcher. More soon.
