Yesterday, I had the afternoon to relax and process all the new information. For my afternoon of peace, I joined a small group on a laid back kayaking trip along The Connecticut River.
In the last two days, the group of new TEA parcticipants discussed classroom transfer plans, video/phone conferencing, and mentoring plans. Kevin's (a former TEA parcticipant) Principal Investigator presented his research from McMurdo Station in Antarctica.
Today, I spent most of the time discussing classroom transfer plans with other fellow TEA members. The point of this activity is to create a plan of incorporating our Arctic experience with students, colleagues, and the community. There are so many ideas, I am having a difficult time deciding the most optimal plan but looking forward to working with my colleagues this fall.
