This week I was given the opportunity by my school system to travel to San
Diego, California to attend the National Science Teachers Association
Convention. San Diego is a beautiful city. It was the first city in
California. I was given a city tour so that I could learn all about the
history of San Diego. (If you don't know where you are, you don't know where
you're going.) I took a dinner cruise so that I could experience the San
Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean (remember I love water). Best of all I went
to the zoo! I have wanted to go to the San Diego zoo since I was a child and
found out how famous it was. I had a lot of fun spending time with other
teachers in the TEA Program. I met a lot of teachers at the TEA booth and
hope that they will get their students to follow me to the Antarctic.
