30 July, 1997Wednesday, July 30/Thursday, July 31, 1997. I arrived in Anchorage at 11:51 pm (3:51 a.m. EST) Wednesday evening/Thursday morning. As we were flying I noticed that although we were flying North, it looked like we were flying West into the sunset -- I assume this is because of the Arctic inclination toward the sun. After getting my luggage, I called the Puffin Inn shuttle which promptly picked me up at the Anchorage airport and took me to my room. After checking in, I quickly went to sleep.
