14 August, 1997Thursday, August 14, 1997. The Toolik Taxi leaves at 10:00 a.m. today. Everyone has been instructed to be loaded up and ready to leave on time. The trip to Prudhoe Bay takes about 3-4 hours depending upon the weather and road conditions. There are not a lot of options for alternate flights out of Prudhoe. Good-byes are said here and promises are made to keep in touch via e-mail.
