Today wasn't all that exciting, except that we got a lot of snow! Snow is a big deal here since there is usually 0% humidity---it is kind of like a frozen desert. Someone told me today that the last time they had this much snow was last April. It has been pretty windy and cold all day. We mostly worked in the lab and then at 3 we had to attend helicopter training . They call the helicopters "helos" down here, I don't know why! Mostly we just learned about safety and how to unload and load our cargo and some general information on how helicopters fly. I have never flown in a helicopter before so I am looking forward to when we go out in one to get our ice cores!
