How did your work with your team help you meet the professional growth goals you set for yourself?
I have very recently solidified my collaborative team with the addition of Rosie Beniretto, an 8th grade history teacher, to my team of Alred Vigil (computer teacher) and Brenda Lary (6th grade science). A teacher who had initally expressed interest was forced to withdraw her commitment due to her schedule. As a result, our team has just begun to brainstorm ideas for how our time and interests can best be utilized. We have, however, identified an opportunity to work together to develop websites for our respective classes and identified two areas of common interest: cross curricular study and using teachnology as a teaching tool to accomodate different learning styles.

What materials / resources / workshops did you use / produce / host with your team members over the last year?
In my initial presentation of the TEA program and collaborative group, I constructed a PowerPoint presentation using general information on Antarctica from literature provided at our training session and photos of Antarctica provided by Andy Sajor (from the data base of photos at McMurdo Station). I created information packets detailing the TEA program and the goals of the collaborative program for interested teachers and for my administrators.

Based on the past year, what ideas do you have to improve the effectiveness of your team interactions?

Total hours of collaboration with each team member:
We have met together for a total of one hour during the information sessions, but I have spent additional time talking individually with the members about possible projects.

Additional reflections:
My team is very excited to work together. We feel that we have several solid ideas to explore and can see tangible outcomes for our investigations. We have all felt at a loss for where to begin because we agree that we should start by focusing around the upcoming TEA experience. However, as field placements have not been assigned, my team has felt limited in our options for activies at this time. Our brainstorming sessions have been both fruitful and exciting though.
