How did your work with your team help you meet the professional growth goals you set for yourself?
My goals for the 2002 year were to implement my Arctic research field session effectively to my classroom and community. This would have been impossible without the support from my collaborative team members. My field session and outreach would not have been successful without their creativity, hardwork, support and guidance. Quality and a quanitity of work was produced because of the work of the team. This would not have been possible alone.

How did your work with your team impact your content knowledge and pedagogy?
The team greatly benefited from one another in content knowledge. Each member thrives in one parcticular content area. The development of the team has allowed the members to learn from one another in their area of expertise. Pedagogy has vastly improved amongst each team member because each member has different levels and years of experience in teaching. These experiences can be shared and all can learn from one another. The elementary teachers have learned much from the middle school teachers as the middle school teachers have learned elementary teaching tactics. Everybody has gained from the work of the team!

What materials / resources / workshops did you use / produce / host with your team members over the last year?
1) Elementary and Middle school Power point presentations on the Arctic. 2) Arctic/ Antarctic Thematic units 3) Iditarod curriculum 4) Snowflake lessons 5) Arctic Native culture lessons 6) Science Expo night 7) On line journaling ideas 8) Data collection ideas for Alaska teachers 9) NC science teachers convention workshop on TEA program 10) Assemblies to middle school and elementary schools

Based on the past year, what ideas do you have to improve the effectiveness of your team interactions?
Since the field session has ended, it will be a challenge to keep the enthusiasm level up for the next year. I intend to do this by highlighting the current TEA's in the field. Emphasis on the TEA's in the Antarctic will be hightlighted since this end of the world has not been thoroughly addressed.

Total hours of collaboration with each team member:
Doni Angell 10 hrs (2001) + 52 hrs (2002) = 62 hours Sandra Hager 10 hours (2001) + 32 hrs (2002) = 42 hours Frances Strother 10 hours (2001) + 30 hours (2002) = 40 hours Amy Harrington = 55 hours
