How did your work with your team help you meet the professional growth goals you set for yourself?
My professional goal this year was to use my Arctic field experience to continue to implement science as an inquiry based discipline across the county.

How did your work with your team impact your content knowledge and pedagogy?
The team greatly benefited from one another in content knowledge. Each member thrives in one parcticular content area. The development of the team has allowed the members to learn from one another in their area of expertise. Pedagogy has vastly improved amongst each team member because each member has different levels and years of experience in teaching. These experiences can be shared and all can learn from one another. Since all three teachers are middle school teachers, each member can provide lessons and ideas that work well with their students. Everybody has gained from the work of the team!

What materials / resources / workshops did you use / produce / host with your team members over the last year?
Amy Harrington - co-coached Science Olympiad team placed 2nd in the regionals to go to the state competition. Amy Harrington - co-cordinated school Science Fair competition. Amy Harrington - co-planned Water testing Field trips to the western NC nature center..in the swannonoa river. Amy Harrington and Doni Angell- attended the NSTA convention in Philadelphia as a mentoring team. Amy Harrington- co-planned school wide Earth Day celebration co-planned recycling competition against teams

Based on the past year, what ideas do you have to improve the effectiveness of your team interactions?
Effective interactions occur amongst team members when team members are sited at the same school. This allows for daily one-on-one interaction amongst members. I plan on picking up another mentee when I transfer schools this year. Doni, Amy and I plan to continue to meet and share effective inquiry based science lessons and ideas throughout the year.

Total hours of collaboration with each team member:
Doni Angell = 10 hrs (2001), 52 hrs (2002), 20 hrs (2003) = 82 total hours. Amy Harrington = 55 hrs (2002), 95 hrs (2003) = 150 hours. Sandra Hager = 10 hrs (2001), 32 hours (2002) = 42 hours. Frances Strother = 10 hours (2001), 30 hours (2002) = 40 hours. Laura McDermott = 16 hours (2003)
