Overview of Session (e.g., resources used, discussion points, next steps, etc.):
Amy is a first year teacher at Table Rock Middle School. We are the only 8th grade science teachers at the school. Our classrooms are adjacent to each other on the hallway. Amy is an enthusiastic, energetic new teacher. She is open to learning new ideas and exchanging her creative teaching strategies. I knew Amy would be perfect to be involved in the TEA program. We have been collaborating during the entire year on scientific inquiry activities, polar research, science olympiad team, science fair competitions and laboratory safety in the middle school. An immense amount of resources has been used to accomplish these tasks including but not limited to internet, NSTA publications, TEA activities, TEA journals, textbooks and inquiry based books.

How did your team address pedagogy, content, the process of science, and the use of technology during the session?
Polar research has been directly used in our curriculum with the study of Geologic time using ice cores and climate studies. Radiometric dating has also been tied to polar research with fossilized seals in Antarctica. Our collaborative team is constantly and consisently addressing pedagogy, content and the process of science. This is impossible to do without the use of technology.
