Goal(s) of Meeting
Brainstorm how we want to work together, what everyone wants to accomplish in our polar study, where our interest are and how we want to share our resources and classes.

Overview of Session (e.g., resources used, discussion points, next steps, etc.):
Meeting went very well. We went home with homework. We all had research to do about where we wanted to start. We decided the first will be with Polar animal study and research. Next meeting was to bring what resources we had together and to work on the Internet pooling these resources.

How did your team address pedagogy, content, the process of science, and the use of technology during the session?
Time is of the essence inour system, we need to work within the science standards. We decided this was vital to our working together. Technology will be a key component to our studies.

All went well, we are in the same ballpark as far as our goals of working together forming and sharing units.

Meet and discuss our first meeting of the classes to work together (grade 2 and 3 and grades 5 together at the beginning. We would use technology to research polar animal study.

We shared resources and planned how we would work with our classes next.

Once again use of science standards within grade level was discussed.

I was preparing to go to my field season In Wales, Alaska. We discussed how we would communicate when I was there, hopefully incorporating student communication.

first meeting of the school year. We planned presentations of my experience to all of our classrooms.

We discussed where we want to go and how to pursue it according to my trip. We discussed archaeology, collecting data, cataloging the data, and what to do with it from there. This was the first info we wanted to tecah our classrooms

We discussed science standards and how we would incvorporate it into the classroom

Goal(s) of Meeting
Discuss archaeology in the classroom WE planned for 2 5th grades to take part in mapping out a grid and excavating the area. A key aspect was the data collecting. One 5th grade also planned to work with the 3rd grade class on polar animals and one with the 2nd grade class.

Overview of Session (e.g., resources used, discussion points, next steps, etc.):
We planned the "dig", the assessment of it and where to go from there. We discussed what to do with the data.

Also planned was planning for next "field season" with the students. We plann to make it much more extensive.

How did your team address pedagogy, content, the process of science, and the use of technology during the session?
Once again as with all meetings, standrads was discussed, how it means the Orange curriculum within our grade level.

Dr. Roger Harritt my PI was available to witness our excavation, offer help AND TEACH THE STUDENTS ARCHAEOLOGY CONCEPTS AT THEIR LEVEL.
