Discussed time frame for the unit, what each of our responsibilites were, and how we would organize the unit.

1. Give presentation to 3rd graders 2. Discuss Marcia's TEA application 3. Discuss how Marcia could increase the amount of polar science in her classroom.

1. We discussed each other's science-teaching backgrounds and what my TEA responsibilities will be in Antarctica. 2. Brainstormed was to demonstrate the drilling of an ice core. Tried 2 different ways. 3. Reviewed Marcia's TEA application to see where she coulod improve it. 4. Classroom presentation on my upcoming trip.

How did your team address pedagogy, content, the process of science, and the use of technology during the session?
Discussed advantages of hands-on science and how we achieve it in our respective classrooms. Discussed state and national standards.

To discuss step-by-step the writing process involved for the writing portions of the unit; who would be responsible for what.

Review of the critical thinking question the students will answer; what quality of answer are we expecting; what specific writing skills will we concentarte on

How did your team address pedagogy, content, the process of science, and the use of technology during the session?
Discussion of how the questions relate to the unit; what we hope to accomplish by asking the questions; how the students will organize their information into a cohesive essay.

Discussed Barbara and Lydia's pedagogy on the writing process and how they would like to handle this part of the project.

Discussed major issues of what worked and what didn't, who needs extra help, and how to go from here.

How did your team address pedagogy, content, the process of science, and the use of technology during the session?
Discussed how to help the students that were struggling with the Internet portion of the unit and how they use what they were able to do to show what they had learned. Discussed what the more advance students could do while the slower ones completed their work. Mapped out a plan for the remainder of the unit.
