Reflect on how the polar unit has gone to date.

What do we want to do differently with the unit? Do we want to continue with it? Overview of the Extreme 2003 Expedition website. Discussed doing deep sea research along with polar science to compare/contrast.

How did your team address pedagogy, content, the process of science, and the use of technology during the session?

Map out a new unit using the Exploring the Deep Frontier (Extreme 2004) website.

Outlined learning outcomes for students. Briefly outlined a series of lesson plans.

How did your team address pedagogy, content, the process of science, and the use of technology during the session?
Used website together to plan teaching strategies and lesson format.

Develop a series of questions to guide students on webquests

Divided the website into 3 main topics and web quests: ship, Alvin, and scientific tools, deep sea creatures, seafloor geology. Decided who would be responsible for various lessons
