How did your work with your team help you meet the professional growth goals you set for yourself?
Developed confidence with team members, improved my facilitation skills, received feedback on my ideas for activities with high school students, improved my ability to provide constructive feedback on structure of lesson plan.

How did your work with your team impact your content knowledge and pedagogy?
I have a better understanding of content information modified to be conveyed at different ability levels. Michelle and Barbara teach elementary and middle school, I didn't realize the amount of modification needed to meet individual needs. Barbara (physical science person) guided me to better understand the relationship between the physical world, science/polar regions, and research.

What materials / resources / workshops did you use / produce / host with your team members over the last year?
The most impact was our three day retreat approximately 45 minutes from campus. We spent over 35 hours together in three days working from 8 am to dark, working on our laptops outside with the mosquitoes. We all provided a mini-workshop and needed to bring our own materials. Michelle provided a workshop on insulation, she had to keep her ice cold - that weekend was the hottest weekend of the summer! I brought all of my resources from TEA orientation along with other books (suitcase full).

Based on the past year, what ideas do you have to improve the effectiveness of your team interactions?
Barbara is currently a full time student in NY so we've talked about ways to get together. So far, we'll use her school breaks and I plan to fly out to visit her practicum experience. We talked about incorporating snow and ice topics along with her science content courses. Michelle and I have different schedules but we've managed to get together when we can especially take advantage of professional development offered by our school.
