Julia did a unit on Arctic tundra and wolves with her 7th grade language students. Amy did a unit on Circulation and incorporated Arctic living conditions. Michelle did a unit on Alaska and her students studied the weather in Fairbanks and created a graph on daily weather during my field study. Next time we'll meet and confirm goals for the next academic year.

Created short term and long term goals, present mini workshop (I talked about lake ice data, Michelle discussed about a insulation lesson with 1st graders, Barbara discussed about density with middle school students), share other activities, created a name for our team (POLAR BEARS - positive opportunities learning about regions, basic experimentation, and research skills), worked on timeline for our goals, ideas for long term activity development

Discuss plans for week and after vacation.

My position as science mentor begins on December 16th, Janice and Arlan will be using my developed materials to teach content information while I do lab activities and projects. We discussed plans for the next few weeks.

Current lesson is geography, main focus are two regions (Arctic and Antarctica).
