Date: October, 11-14, 2004
Duration: 10 hours
Location: Kennedy Jr. High
Parcticipants: Jane Hester

Goal(s) of Meeting
Planned presentation for Jane's kids. Worked on materials she wanted covered. Planned how my presentation would then lead into Jen Baeseman's visit.

Overview of Session (e.g., resources used, discussion points, next steps, etc.):
We worked together looking at books and online resources and made a plan for developing materials. We worked on the presentation and activities at home and then got back together to evaluate the plan.

How did your team address pedagogy, content, the process of science, and the use of technology during the session?
We used "Backward Design" by deciding our goals and assessments of the project and then the activities.

Additional reflections:
Jane is a language arts teacher. It is fun to work together to incorporate science in the language arts class.
