How did your work with your team help you meet the professional growth goals you
set for yourself?
We have only just begun; however, a trip to the NSTA conference in Portland provided rare time to visit and brainstorm with my colleagues- including 3 in my mentoring group.
How did your work with your team impact your content knowledge and pedagogy?
No results yet. We had one informal introductory meeting that covered the TEA program. I believe a few of my colleagues will become associates this year.
What materials / resources / workshops did you
use / produce / host with your team members over the last year?
none
Based on the past year,
what ideas do you have to improve the effectiveness of
your team interactions?
Trying to find a common meeting time will be the greatest challenge. Right now, we have agreed to meet from 4 to 6 after school on a regular basis between now and the summer, and again next school year.
Total hours of collaboration with each team member:
Mike Sitter, 6 hrs.
Mary Alice Thomas, 6 hrs.
Dan O'brien, 6 hrs.
Janis Rafter, 1 hr.
Lori Peterson, 1 hr.
Tami Morrison, 1 hr.
Additional reflections:
Now that I have a project, I believe our group will be very productive this coming year. I'm parcticularly excited about the involvement of the 2 elementary teachers (Peterson and Morrison). Both are excited about creating arctic activities for their classes.
