How did your work with your team help you meet the professional growth goals you set for yourself?
My ability to make astrophysics research come alive for my students has improved enormously.

How did your work with your team impact your content knowledge and pedagogy?
We physics teachers don't deal too much with pedagogy. Our field (and our interests) are very content driven. In the course of this experience, I transformed my 2nd year physics class to a completely project-based astrophysics class. This is not something I could have pulled off even a year ago.

What materials / resources / workshops did you use / produce / host with your team members over the last year?
Tom Haff & I are now co-editors, working on our 1st issue of the Washington Science Teacher's Association Journal. Each of us has made numerous shared presentations on our work to colleagues at local and national AAPT and NSTA meetings.

Based on the past year, what ideas do you have to improve the effectiveness of your team interactions?
We've managed to work out an infrequent but intense schedule, based around attending peer meetings.

Total hours of collaboration with each team member:
Mark Buchli : 148 hours Tom Haff : 185 hours Becky Fowler : 192 Bob Olona : 101 (geography really preventeed me from making much more progress with Bob) Paul Witt : 99 (during the school year, Paul guards his time & energy very carefully)

Additional reflections:
I was very fortunate to have a group with whom I had a lot in common : a shared love of our content and expanding our knowledge, and a love of travel !
