Planning of microscope labs, basic skills labs

Overview of Session (e.g., resources used, discussion points, next steps, etc.):
1. Discussed best ways to introduce microscope as a tool (measuring, identification). 2. Ciz to start basic skills labs with use of the triple beam balance. 3. Science Fair (?) 4. 1/17 mtg. with principal also.

1. Steve Borneman to share his research at Binghamton University 2. High interest labs-- 3. Other speakers?

Overview of Session (e.g., resources used, discussion points, next steps, etc.):
Steve shared his research in the first meeting. Brainstormed (with us) chemistry applications in 6th grade earth science (very helpful). Steve lined up to present chemistry session with 6th grade.
