These last few days have been a whirl wind of information and excitement. I am very honored to have been selected to parcticipate in this program and I have had the opportunity to meet the other fourteen "Polar Candidates". We have all been absorbing the information presented to us by Steph, Deb, Guy and all the other folks here at the NSF center in Arlington. I think that the best part of the experience so far has been meeting the PI's (principle investigators) for a couple of the research projects and definitely meeting and listening to the former TEA's. Their experiences have really got the fires burning. I would like to go now, but I must wait to find out which pole? And what project I will be going on!
