Field work.

Weddell seal and pup. The seals maintain holes in the ice pack so that they can return to the water for food. The holes also serve as breathing holes for the seals. Dom's team took advantage of the hard work of the seals - they used the holes for diving, rather than drilling their own.

Seal using its access to the water below the ice pack.

Creature from the depths. Dom's team was researching chemical defenses of Antarctic marine invertebrates.
