12 August, 2002Rain!!!! It rain very hard last night, and I awoke to more of the same. I had planned to help Tim Alessi with a sediment sample at his project sight this morning, but we decided against it. The hike out to the kettle he is planning to sample is very brushy and neither of us felt much like getting soaked. I spent the morning catching up on emails and processing more of the photos I have been taking. The REU students planned a short, two day trip to Valdez, and since I would be the only one left in camp, I decided to tag along. There wasnąt much to see on the trip down due to the heavy rain, but there were some very spectacular waterfalls. Life Is Good DT
