Research Experience: Physical-biological coupling at frontal zones in Glacier Bay National Park
Research Objectives: To characterize the spatial and temporal hydrodynamic features of potential frontal structures in the entrance region of Glacier Bay; to determine the relationship between frontal features and patterns of larval/plankton community distribution and abundance; and to assess whether these patterns contribute to the known adult distributions of certain species in Glacier Bay.
Research funded by: U. S. Geological Survey and National Park Service
Host Researcher: Lisa Etherington - USGS Alaska Science Center
